About
My 20+ year career as a fashion, beauty and lifestyle journalist has seen me travel the world but I am happy to call the tiny surf village of Kommetjie, 40 mins south of Cape Town, home.
As the South African launch editor of
SEVENTEEN magazine, my team won five industry awards within our first
two years of being published.
Since then, I have edited numerous magazines and supplements, written articles for glossies, blogs for websites and created digital strategies and content for a host of brands.

I am now busy writing my first YA novel.

in a
nutshell
EDITOR
After launching Seventeen magazine and website in South Africa and winning a handful of industry awards, I went on to edit: Deluxe Magazine, Edgars CLUB magazine (1 million subscribers), Club MAN Magazine, the LUXE guide plus numerous fragrance, beauty and shoe shopping supplements.
JOURNALIST
I have written magazine articles for VISI, ELLE, House & Leisure, Cosmopolitan, Modern Wellness, Women's Health, National Geographic Traveller, Real Simple, deLUXE, Dossier, Seventeen and Shape.
I have blogged for House & Leisure, KushKush Online and the Aficionado Network.
CONTENT DIRECTOR
I oversaw the strategy and production for all print and digital content for Edgars CLUB, including the social media for their in-store international brands, namely
Dr. Martens, Dune London and T.M. Lewin.

As a freelancer, I've created content strategies and multi-channel content for Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons, Studio Harris Interiors, Roar Africa Travel, Kush Kush Online, Foschini, Rubro Rooibos Still and Stodels Nursery.
AUTHOR
When a twitchy-fisted teenager stomped out of my imagination and into the first draft of my debut novel,
I had no choice but to tell her story.
My YA dystopian adventure novel is now complete so watch this space for updates.
LITERACY VOLUNTEER
Illiteracy amongst children is a massive problem in
South Africa so I work as a weekly volunteer for a non-profit organisation, helping grade two learners at a nearby primary school improve their reading skills.
